Mentir lo Mínimo
Minimal Circus
Outdoor / non-conventional spaces/ indoor Dome
On the border between contemporary circus, theater and music, Mentir lo Mínimo is inspired by the minimalist movement to offer the audience an intimate and refined show.
A show that, with its apparent simplicity, brings us closer to the complexity of self-acceptance.
“Mentir lo mínimo” is a show that seeks to get rid of everything that is not necessary. We talk about the journey of these three bodies on the scene: Woman, man and bicycle, and how they are shedding their own layers to get to the essence, to the minimum.
And what is the minimum? The minimum is the body itself and the relationship you have with it. Do you like it? Is it comfortable for you? Would you change it?
A minimalist and crude work
A minimalist and crude work that questions with humour the relationship we have with our bodies, and the way we accept our weaknesses and limits… served by a very beautiful duo on an acrobatic bicycle
An amazing technical virtuosity
A show which, using a contemporary language, connects with the spectator in a simple and direct way and which, at the same time, displays an amazing technical virtuosity
A grand and sentimental show
A grand and sentimental show. Where tears flow without understanding what is going on, or what has been thrown in the air, so that many people in the audience end up crying with emotion
The experience of the spectator is highlighted
A journey where the experience of the spectator is highlighted, making his own show, transforming his fundamental role and making his relationship with the artists the artistic fact itself
Beautiful and cathartic
Alta Gama makes a type of circus where you feel like you are part of something that is happening, and that is beautiful and cathartic. That doesn’t happen often.
A wonderful standing ovation
This is a wonderful standing ovation for the company Alta Gama! And no wonder: the duo is touching, talented, full of humour and lightness.
