With the Dome we seek to create a space where the circus is a place for exchanges, encounters and intimacy with the public.
A protected place where the people who inhabit it can remove the layers of everyday life and be themselves, without masks, without hiding.
The Dome starts from a simple form and through repetition becomes a complete and complex space. A diaphanous and minimalist space where all the public can be welcomed equally, bringing the public and the artist closer together and creating an intimacy and a unique atmosphere highlighted by this particular space.
It is a place where culture meets people, not the other way around. It is a place that can travel to places where access to a cultural space is not easy.
Mentir lo Mínimo – in Dome
2024 creation
Mentir lo Mínimo in Dome is a minimalist circus show that tries to strip away everything vain and superficial to delve into the intimate essence of each person. In their bodies.
We want to create a singular space that helps to generate this journey. This space is a geodesic dome whose interior lights exalt its geometric shapes.
To complete the experience of the show, we propose that this space is always accompanied by a photographic exhibition made up of the bodies of some spectators.
For us, the audience is at the heart of our creations. Mentor lo Mínimo in the Dome aims to raise questions, to invite the audience to a shared journey, and to encourage them to observe themselves.
This creation is based on not only what happens on stage, but also on the dome and its geometry, on the lighting and sound creations and on the audience, to create a unique universe.
To extend this experience, it is important to go beyond the limits of time (the show) and space (the dome).
This is why we have decided to collaborate with photographers Matias Chiofalo and Sou Harris. The idea is to create a photographic exhibition showing different bodies and different people that will be installed somewhere nearby the dome, allowing the observation and thinking of the theme from a different angle.
